Clik here to view.We didn't need another reason to swoon over "Public Enemies" star Johnny Depp, but the actor readily gave us one. While in London for the premiere of his gangster flick, Johnny made a visit to Great Ormond Street Hospital to entertain some young patients. And he did it dressed as his "Pirates of the Caribbean" flamboyant alter ego Jack Sparrow.
"Johnny was so friendly with all the children on the ward and they absolutely loved his pirate outfit," a source told Wenn. "He spoke to lots of the youngsters and staff — and made their day by posing for pictures with them all."
This was not the 46-year-old's first encounter with the London-based children's hospital. In 2007, daughter Lily-Rose was treated there for reported kidney failure, and in addition to donating his time, Johnny has given more than $1.5 million to the facility. Perhaps on his next visit the versatile actor could switch things up and grace the wards in his "Alice in Wonderland" Mad Hatter garb. Or maybe not. I think my 4-year-old self would run screaming into the night if that thing came anywhere near me.
Does hearing about Johnny's charitable act make you like him even more?
